At the West Palm Beach Church of God, we believe that parents are the primary spiritual leaders of their children. The Children’s Ministry exists to support, encourage, and partner with families in fulfilling the God-given responsibility of raising children who know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.
Lasting spiritual growth is the result of a strong partnership between the Church and the home.
By enrolling your child in the Children’s Ministry, you agree to work together with the Church to promote your child’s spiritual, moral, emotional, and relational development.

Children’s Ministry activities begin every Sunday at 9:00 AM.
Parents agree to:
• Bring their child to Children’s Ministry on time.
• Complete the check-in process before the beginning of the service.
• Pick up their child promptly at the conclusion of the ministry.
• Notify the Children’s Ministry leadership of any significant absence or delay whenever possible.
Punctuality helps create an atmosphere of order, respect, and stability for every child.

Spiritual growth requires consistency.
Parents are encouraged to:
• Make Children’s Ministry attendance a regular priority.
• Avoid unnecessary or repeated absences.
• Encourage their child to participate with enthusiasm.
• Support special Children’s Ministry programs and events.

Discipleship does not end on Sunday morning.
Parents agree to:
• Pray regularly with their child.
• Read the Bible together as a family.
• Encourage Scripture memorization.
• Discuss the weekly Bible lesson at home.
• Help their child apply God’s Word in everyday life.
The Church teaches on Sunday, while the home reinforces those biblical truths throughout the week.

We believe that concerns should always be addressed with love, respect, honesty, and biblical wisdom.
Parents agree to:
• Communicate directly with ministry leaders whenever concerns arise.
• Avoid public criticism or negative discussions.
• Seek respectful conversation rather than gossip or rumors.
• Partner with ministry leaders for the spiritual well-being of their child.

Parents recognize that teachers, volunteers, and ministry leaders faithfully serve the Lord and the children of our church.
Therefore, parents agree to:
• Treat every teacher and volunteer with respect and Christian kindness.
• Support the spiritual leadership of the Children’s Ministry.
• Refrain from criticizing, mocking, or making negative comments about teachers, ministry leaders, or pastors in the presence of their children.
• Teach their children to honor and respect those who faithfully teach God’s Word.
Whenever disagreements arise, they should be handled privately, respectfully, and in a Christ-centered manner.

Parents understand that the Children’s Ministry practices discipline based on biblical principles, love, grace, and respect.
Parents agree to:
• Support the ministry’s classroom expectations and policies.
• Work together with ministry leaders when behavioral concerns arise.
• Encourage their child to respect and obey the instructions of teachers and volunteers.
Any form of physical, verbal, emotional, or psychological abuse is strictly prohibited.

To help maintain a safe environment for every child, parents agree to:
• Keep all contact information current.
• Inform the ministry of any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs.
• Follow all check-in and check-out procedures.
• Notify the ministry of any changes to authorized pick-up persons.

Children learn as much from what they observe as from what they are taught.
Parents are encouraged to:
• Model Christian values at home.
• Attend worship services faithfully.
• Foster an atmosphere of love, forgiveness, and respect.
• Be a godly example for their children to follow.

The Children’s Ministry is a significant investment in the next generation. Curriculum materials, classroom supplies, snacks, special events, camps, outreach programs, and volunteer training are made possible through the generosity of our church family.
While financial support is never required for participation, parents are encouraged to support the ministry as God enables them.
Opportunities to support the ministry include:
• Voluntary financial gifts
• Sponsoring ministry events
• Donating classroom or craft supplies
• Providing snacks or refreshments
• Supporting camps, retreats, and mission projects
• Serving as a ministry volunteer
Every contribution, whether large or small, helps us fulfill our mission of leading children to Christ.

We believe the greatest spiritual impact occurs when the Church and the family work together.
Parents agree to:
• Pray regularly for the Children’s Ministry.
• Support the vision and mission of the church.
• Participate in parent meetings whenever possible.
• Encourage their child to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

By enrolling my child in the Children’s Ministry of the West Palm Beach Church of God, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Parent Commitment.
I desire to partner with the Church in providing a Christ-centered environment that encourages my child’s spiritual growth and discipleship.
I commit to supporting the Children’s Ministry leadership, encouraging my child’s walk with Jesus Christ, and contributing—according to my ability—to the continued growth and success of this ministry.
